Today is 92nd birth anniversary of late Prime Minister Mrs.Indira Gandhi.Her contribution to the nation is incomparable.My collection of stamps includes some of her stamps issued in past years.

CHILDREN'S DAY

Children are god's greatest gift to mankind.Their pure innocence,pristine thoughts and bubbling enthusiasm lend a unique flavour to life.The wondrous eyes of a child perceive with crystal clear honesty the myriad hues of nature and its bounties.To a child,the world is pure magic.Each day to a child unfolds a new secret, a new joy which the child rushes to embrace with outstretched arms.

The Universal Children's Day,celebrated on 14th November every year,is an occasion to renew our commitment to the cause of children and re-dedicate ourselves to fufilling their basic needs and rights.The day also coincides with the birthday of India's first Prime Minister,Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru,fondly called'Chacha Nehru' by children.

National Education Day

11th November is celebrated as The National Education Day in memory of eminent freedom fighter and educationist late Maulana Abul Kalam Azad.I am having postage stamps issued on 11th November 1966 and 11th November 1988 in the memory of late Maulana Abul Kalam Azad.

Rajrajeshwar Temple at Dungarpur

Dungarpur is proud of having Udaibilas Palace.Its beautiful location and surrounded by forest makes it wonderful place for vacations and tourism.Rajrajeshwar temple is one of the part of this beautiful palace.Surrounded by water,this Shiva temple is made of white marble with beautiful garden.Patronage by M.K.Harshwardhan Singhji of Udaibilas Palace,this temple looks like a gem in the Gap Sagar lake of Dungarpur.
